DUBROOM MP3 ALBUM REVIEW

WWW, January 2021 - Over one and a half hour of pure DUB Niceneness, and let's do a little name dropping to proof the point in an instant: Conscious Sounds (Dougie Wardrop), Vibronics, Dubcreator and the Shiloh Ites label featuring the incredibly talented JAH Melody. Belgium based DUB Reservoir did it once again!

The twenty two tracks on the compilation fit well together, even though they al have their own specific vibes. Well done selection to say the least. Take the second track, mixed by the Dutch Dubcreator. A Discomix, that is a vocal track followed by it's Dub version. Heavyweight sounds from Amsterdam. Not just veterans on this compilation, though. Irie Ilodica from Belgium, for example. Cool Dubwise for real.

Lovers of horns will come to their satisfaction when they play the track from the Italian producer Michael Exodus, as some impressive work is performed by Jamma Din. More horns accompany the Dutch singer Jah Melody on a release by the Swedish based label Shiloh Ites. The talented singer knows what he sings about, purity you can hear. And that's just the beginning.

Lost in Dub 2 also shows just how much different styles there actually are in Dub. Hard digital steppers, Ire laid back musical works from a full band, and everything in between. And yes, there are some really big names in there but it would not be fair or even realistic to just recommend the compilation just for that. There are some really impressive works to be discovered by some lesser known producers and bands.

Yes, one hour and thirty-five minutes of pure Niceneness, a true gift from both the creators and the Dub Reservoir label and collective.
