June 2011 - The Abassi All-Stars can in many
ways be seen as the studio/live band for
Zion Train's Neil Perch and his Deep
Root/Universal Egg labels. It is a
collective of musicians basically based in
Cologne (Germany) where Perch's studio is
located.
Many
vocalists have voiced over Abassi All-Star
riddims, from Luciano to Kenny Knots, from
Beenie Man to Tippa Irie, from Sis Sanae to
Empress Rasheda. The unmistakable sound of
the All-Stars surely adds to the CV of these
vocalists, whether known or unknown.

July 2010 - Alberto D'Ascola was born in
1977 in Sicily (Italy), but the Reggae
Massive knows him as Alborosie. After a life
full of tribulations, his brother being
killed on the street and him being kicked
off school, he found his calling in music
and is currently residing in Jamaica from
where he releases some very interesting
material.

you're talking about Asante Amen. A crucial
voice he has, especially when he's using it
to go in all directions like a roller coaster.
On top of that, he gives praises to the Most
High which is of course the Source of all
singing. Asante Amen, this is not the only
place where you'll be reading about him.
Should you
be wondering about Jamaica and slackness and
the way that so-called crucial combination
is called in especially the MTV's of this
world, wonder no more. It's not that
wonderful combination and there are a lot of
Jamaicans who rather see a combination of
