Italian
Dub Community
DUBROOM
NETLABEL REVIEW |
| Centered
around Italy's number one Dub collective Moa
Anbessa, whose website gave birth to the
Italian Dub Community, this is truly one of
the most interesting DUB Net Labels. Their
philosophy of "Cooperation NOT
Competition" serves as the foundation
for some very heavyweight material coming
out of this cooperation.
A few names
involved are: BR Stylers, Alambic
Conspiracy, RE Sistance In DUB, Wicked DUB
Division and many, many more.

VOLUME ONE
DUBROOM
MP3 ALBUM REVIEW |
| WWW,
June 2010 - Ten titles, twenty tracks: all
produced by Italian artists who met
eachother at the website of "Italy's
own Zion Train" Moa Anbessa.
Moa Anbessa
is a DUB collective from Italy, whose
collaborations on stage and in the studio
with UK based Zion Train can be heard back
in the style of the opening title of the
album (also featured in Radio
Dubroom 2010 Episode 3). Moa
Anbessa's "What A Day" is one
crucial opening track and what is even
nicer: it's a track which truthfully
promises a level of quality which will stand
throughout the rest of the album.

VOLUME TWO
DUBROOM
MP3 ALBUM REVIEW |
| WWW,
June 2010 - The second collection of the
more than great works by the Italian DUB
Community is greater than part one, if only
because this is not even a double-album but
a triple -album!
It's
greater too, because there is a greater
number of styles and vibes on this release.
There's much more variety in styles, but
definitely not in quality. The Roots is
there, really there.

VOLUME 3
DUBROOM
MP3 ALBUM REVIEW |
| WWW,
June 2011 - The long wait is over:
widely anticipated throughout the online Dub
community, here is the third chapter of the
phenomenal Italian Dub Community Showcase
serial. Fifteen titles, thirty tracks, and
once again the selection is stronger than
strong. Consciousness and Dubwise galore,
this is definitely a very precious gift from
the Italian DUB Community to the World Wide
DUB Massive. Respect is more than due!
A precious
gift it is, indeed. There is no reason for
anyone to consider the fact that this free
Net Album was released under Creative
Commons Copyright to be a sign of a low
quality contents. This is a sign of life
from a very vibefull Italian DUB Community
which cannot be refused or even denied.

CHAPTER 4
DUBROOM
MP3 ALBUM REVIEW |
| WWW,
July 2012 - The fourth installment of
the Italian DUB Community (IDC) Showcase
series takes the musical vibe to another
level, incorporating several elements of
Dubstep and other Dub-derived styles. A
well-appreciloved combination of (DUB) Roots
and Electronica that contains some very
interesting and recommended material for the
Worldwide and Online DUB Massive.
In many
ways, Chapter 4 goes into a different
direction compared to the previous three.
There is less of the straight-up steppers
riddims, and more electronica in the mixes.
The result is a surprising excursion into
the current digital technologies of which
DUB certainly stood at the root. The IDC
surely shows Roots and Culture to the
contemporary DUB scene, in the broadest
sense of the word DUB.
