The
Dubroom reviews a lot of different material, from
musical to educational to beneficial and more.
We've got music, but also material for artists and
producers as well as researchers of more conscious
material. As always, when the Dubroom reviews
something, this means that this website considers
the material at least fair. So don't expect any
negative reviews. When it's here, we recommend it.
Period.

(DUB)
REGGAE MUSIC |
| From
full-length documentaries to video clips,
this is where you can not only enjoy the
sounds of (DUB) Reggae music, but the sights
as well. We are talking about very diverse
material that is not selected persay because
of it's novelty. Historical recordings that stood
against the test of times are offered as
well, TV broadcasts,
interviews: the Dubroom is always interested
in relevant and/or of high quality material
to review and in this part of the Dubroom
video reviews you can find just that.

ASWAD LIVE
IN WALES, 1980'S
DUBROOM
VIDEO REVIEW |
| According
to the accompanying notes, this concert was
held in Wales, for "a limited
audience". So, whether this was like a
private party or not, we don't really know.
We also don't know if this was the end of
the concert, although it seems to be the
last one.

STEEL PULSE
- KU KLUX KLAN (1978)
DUBROOM
VIDEO REVIEW |
| In
1978, producing a video clip to accompany a
track wasn't something that everyone did.
Not only was it kind of expensive, at least
for most, the problem was also: where to
broadcast it? There were no musical
television channels...

NATTY KING
- NO GUNS TO TOWN
DUBROOM
VIDEO REVIEW |
| Violence
of Jamaica is a problem that has been going
on for a long, long time now. Political
violence, violence caused by poverty, there
has even been a time wherein Jamaica's
capital was the top city when it came to
killing.

MAD
PROFESSOR LIVE @ GLAD FESTIVAL, 2006
DUBROOM
VIDEO REVIEW |
| Most
people, when thinking about live Reggae or
even live Dub, would visualize a band on
stage performing a concert. And fair enough,
this is often the case.
But not
necessarily, as Mad Professor proofs in this
great video report from his performance on
the UK based Glad Festival in 2006. And
rather than a band, he takes his Ariwa
studio on stage! Together with Karl Melody
and Roots Dawta Aisha, he gives the public
some heavyweight DUB and Consciousness as
his hands move over the controls like a mad
professor.

AISHA AND
ROBOTIKS AND MAD PROFESSOR - GUIDE AND
PROTECT (LIVE) (1990)
DUBROOM
VIDEO REVIEW |
| Say
"Roots Daughter", say
"Ariwa". Mad Professor's studio
has always been the home for a whole group
of female singers who deal with strictly
consciousness.
Aisha is
one of these Roots Daughters. Heartical
lyrics, conscious and with dignity, like
this 1990 live recording where she performs
with Ariwa's studio and live band the
Robotiks.
