VARIOUS
ARTISTS - ITALIAN DUB COMMUNITY SHOWCASE
VOLUME 3
DUBROOM
MP3 ALBUM REVIEW |
WWW,
June 2011 - The long wait is over:
widely anticipated throughout the online Dub
community, here is the third chapter of the
phenomenal Italian Dub Community Showcase
serial. Fifteen titles, thirty tracks, and
once again the selection is stronger than
strong. Consciousness and Dubwise galore,
this is definitely a very precious gift from
the Italian DUB Community to the World Wide
DUB Massive. Respect is more than due!
A precious
gift it is, indeed. There is no reason for
anyone to consider the fact that this free
Net Album was released under Creative
Commons Copyright to be a sign of a low
quality contents. This is a sign of life
from a very vibefull Italian DUB Community
which cannot be refused or even denied.

ALAMBIC
CONSPIRACY - THE MISSING DUB VERSIONS
DUBROOM
MP3 ALBUM REVIEW |
WWW,
June 2011 - San Martino di Campagna,
Italy. It's December 2010 and the Alambic
Conspiracy DUB Studio is settling down in
this new location, north of Venice. When
everything is put in place, some older
recording pop up: the Missing DUB Versions.
With names like BR Stylers and Zion Train to
name just two, these DUB Versions have
fortunately now been found. Sixteen DUB
Versions, that is!
The
outstanding work on The Missing DUB Versions
is not just found in the incredible riddims
that serve as the foundation found on this
album. It's equally, perhaps even more, in
the art of DUB mixing applied. Most of the
things are done in a stricktly old skool
tradition of analogue effects and mixing
board. Remarkable, when you realize that
most of the work was done during the last
three years.

DUBALIZER
- IN TRANSE
DUBROOM
MP3 ALBUM REVIEW |
WWW,
June 2011 - Hailing from Sao Paulo,
Dubalizer knows how to make some very
interesting mixes in which he takes the
concept of Dub as his guideline, while kind
of taking straight back to the source those
techniques that derived from DUB.
Unfortunately,
In Transe does only contain three tracks.
These three tracks all have their own
specific vibe and style even though
everything is undoubtly coming from the same
producer. From the magnificent opening track
to the heartically voiced middle one to the
more Dubstep orientated closing tune, this
is more than interesting to listen to.

VARIOUS
ARTISTS - REVOLUTIONARY DUB VIBRATIONS
CHAPTER 2
DUBROOM
MP3 ALBUM REVIEW |
WWW,
September 2010 - In several ways,
Revolutionary Dub Vibrations Chapter Two
takes off where the first Chapter left us:
and it's going further as the musical
improvement of several artists can be heard
when compared with their more early
material.
Just
like Chapter One, this compilation radiates
careful selection based on musical quality.
Dubwise, again, in all kinds of styles and
versions. From the old-skool (Amalgamah) to
contemporary digital (Dub Engine,
GadManDubs), it's all there again. Crucially
mastered, there's definitely one musical
vibe in the compilation: a vibe which every
self-respecting lover of the better DUB
music will immediately feel inside.

VARIOUS
ARTISTS - REVOLUTIONARY DUB VIBRATIONS
CHAPTER 1
DUBROOM
MP3 ALBUM REVIEW |
WWW,
September 2010 - UK based Dub producer Don
Fe does more in his studio than
"just" producing crucial tunes:
one of these other things is mastering 10's
of original Dub tracks which he compiled for
his Revolutionary Dub Vibrations compilation
album series. Presenting Chapter One!
Those
who have been following the running in the
online (DUB) Reggae artist community
throughout let's say the last 7 years, will
probably know the majority of names on this
first compilation: Jah Billah, Ya Bass,
Ackboo and Don Fe, to name just four. The
overwhelming majority of crucial selections
with pumping bass lines, space-ial effects
and strategically placed samples reveal the
average quality of the music that is
released consistently on the World Wide Web.
