DUB POETRY |
|
Around 1978, a new phenomena entered Reggae Culture.
Where the Deejays were rhythmically chanting over drum
and basslines for a long time allready, in the UK
Jamaican poet Linton Kwesie Johnson decided to chant his
potry over heavy DUB rhythms. A new style was born: DUB
POETRY. |

NEW DUB POETRY ALBUMS |
 |
| BENJAMIN
ZEPHANIAH - BELLY OF THE BEAST |
| Ariwa
presents DUB Poetry from the place where it
all began: UK. Benjamin Zephaniah spreads
his conscious Poetry over Mad Professor's
music in what has become a document of
social consciousness. |

| MUTABARUKA
- OUTCRY |
| Mutabaruka's
second album contains another selection of
his Conscious Rastaman Poetry, impressively
spoken on well worked out Reggae Music. A
perfect antidote to that Political Correct
version of "Rasta" portrayed by
the mainstream media. |
