DANCEHALL |
|
In the middle of the 1980's, Jamaican Dance Hall music
was still known under the name Rub A Dub. But as the
drum computer entered the Studio's and -unfortunately-
cokane came into the Dancehalls, the music changed and
became more known as DANCEHALL.
In this portal, we apply the name DANCEHALL for all
pre-Rub a Dub dancehall music. Loops, computer beats, a
different style of toasting, fusions with Hip Hop and
Rap, it's all there.

| SIZZLA
- BURNING UP |
| Sizzla,
one of the strongest voices in contemporary
Dancehall when it comes to forwarding the
message of Rastafari with militancy from the
heart. |
|
|
 |
| SIZZLA
- SPEAK OF JAH |
| It's
not just dancehall on this album. Even more,
Sizzla rides some serious Roots music on
this one. He equally shows that singing is a
crucial part in his vocal expressions. |

| TONY
REBEL - REBELLIOUS |
| Tony
Rebel is known to do a lot of work to get
more consciousness in the minds of his
audience. On this album, his second one, he
keeps on firing strong. Food for the body,
soul and spirit which will be appriciloved
by roots and dancehall listeners alike! |

 |
| TONY
REBEL - REALMS OF REBEL |
| Some
people claim that Consciousness and
Dancehall do not go well together. That is a
big mistake! No, it's not only
slackness, and Tony Rebel is here to proof
it. His tunes are harder then many others
and will definitely make you move and
groove! |
