AUDIOACTIVITY
DUBROOM NETLABEL REVIEW

Based in Geneva Switzerland, this net label features basically everything electronic which fortunately for us includes some heavy duty electronic DUB. In fact, Audioactivity has released some high quality compilations of which selections have been used in several podcasts of Radio Dubroom.

VARIOUS ARTISTS - DUB DISASTER VOLUME ONE
DUBROOM MP3 ALBUM REVIEW

WWW, July 2010 -  Presented as a "Virtual Ten Inch", DUB DISASTER Volume One proved us with four dubs from two titles by two French producer collectives: OBF Sound and d'Incise aka YOUTHMAN STEPPA, not unfamiliar for Dubroom readers.

It's obvious that sounds like OBF work very close with their UK partners like Zion Train and French based Improvisators DUB: A massive steppers which will function as a crucial opener everytime.

Youthman Steppa's contribution to the Dub Disaster is definitely one of the most experimental the Dubroom has reviewed so far from the Dub producers. Sure, there is some Reggae foundation recognizable but this is more for the Dub Connoiseurs than for the Dub Massive.

VARIOUS ARTISTS - DUB DISASTER VOLUME TWO
DUBROOM MP3 ALBUM REVIEW

WWW, July 2010 -  Just like Volume One, the second edition of Dub Disaster features two artists with several different mixes of one of their titles. This time, we meet the French INADUBSTATE and YINISH, who often asks himself who he is so it's up to us to find it out.

There's nothing wrong with Subsystem Parts one and two by Inadubstate: two massive stepper tunes that will definitely make you move and groove.

There's nothing wrong with Yinish either, other than that we don't know much about the artist who named himself after a game. His contribution "Hypothermic Dub" has a deep industrial vibe but you can hear clearly how the riddim is inspired by Reggae and especially Dub. Not for the Dub purists, but even they want to download DUB DISASTER VOLUME TWO because of the crucial Steppa by INADUBSTATE.

VARIOUS ARTISTS - DUB PROPAGANDA
DUBROOM MP3 ALBUM REVIEW

WWW, July 2010 -  With artists such as UK based JAH Warrior, DUB Propaganda is an impressive collection of European DUB productions. Indeed, a full length album which will be a welcome addition to the collection of every serious lover of UK and Euro DUB and Roots.

The Net Album turns out to be a journey into the deeper realms of DUB, where synthesizers and deep deep Bass sounds blend together with the -often- hard steppin' Drum rhythms. Mysterious mixes, with many unidentified flying effects and sounds take you to places you would never expect DUB music to trod.

The files are in Hi-Q MP3 format, and Hi-Definition Cover Art is available too.

Roots 'n' Future - Dubplates For Powerfull System Volume 1
DUBROOM MP3 ALBUM REVIEW

WWW, September 2012 - If only for the hard-hitting "Business of War" and it's even harder hitting DUB version, you just have to download this 2010 release by the Swiss based Audioactivity Net Label who brought us such excellent compilations as DUB Propaganda and DUB Disaster 1 and 2.

As a matter of fact, Roots 'n' Future is a project and collective based around the drummer of the band High Note, Dino. When this is the first of many Dubplates for Powerfull System, it's a very promising one. There's a wide variety of styles on the album, even some Dubstep tracks that you may or may not like. Those with a focus on Steppers DUB will definitely want to check out the album, in fact every lover of DUB Reggae should.

As said in the opening paragraph, tune called "Business of War" and it's heavyweight DUB counterpart is reason enough to download the al
