With an EP scheduled for release tomorrow, a virtual 7 inch and a virtual 12 inch as well as a Dub Album scheduled for release in the coming weeks and with another DUB Album under construction, there's quite a bit of musical output at the Dubroom momentarily. After a couple of years of silence, silence no more!

REEL TO REAL DUBWISE ft. MAD PROFESSOR

Those who have been following the Dubroom lately, must have read about the EP that is scheduled to be released tomorrow. It's an EP with ARIWA recordings which I have transformed into Dub. It's the result of my purchase of Mad Professor's Reel to Real Reggae Parts One and Two, hence the name "Reel To Real Dubwise". Three riddims, which also be featured on a DUB Album I am currently working on. Jah Willing, this album will be released somewhere next month.

RAS KITCHEN - ANYTHING INYTHING/STAY WHEN IT DUB

Producers and other visitors of Studio Dubroom will have read something about Ras Kitchen. He has his own TV Show on Jamaica where he teaches Ital and other Cooking. Living with his family, he receives guests and gives them an authentic Jamaican experience during their stay. Ras Kitchen has also released two vocal sample packs for producers and I've used material from these packs to make two Dubs.

In a way, the virtual 7 inch can be seen as a fundraiser. Not for the Dubroom, but for Ras Kitchen. Living in Jamaica as a Ras is not easy at all, in spite of the romantic "Irie Irie Mon" sentiments some might have with the idea. Surviving in a righteous way when all around you there is violence, crime and corruption, wickedness. This means that everyone who has a little bit of money left, and likes the music (when it's released), is humbly requested by me to donate some money to the Ras on his website and tell them the Dubroom sent ya.

TRINITY - LIGHT OF THIS DUB (EXTENDED)/DILLINGER - DWELL IN LOVE AND DUB (EXTENDED)

Two extended Dub tracks on this virtual 12 inch. Two riddims which will also be featured on a 12-track DUB album scheduled to be released a week after this one. Two Steppers in the Roots tradition, with lots of Dub Mixing and more than enough message.

MESSIAN DREAD 12-TRACK DUB ALBUM 

In anticipation of a 14-track Dub Album featuring ARIWA's sounds, another Dub Album is scheduled for release. The music is already done, but some work has to be done. Cover Art and stuff like that. I don't really want to say too much about the music at this moment other than that there will be some surprising guest appearances by some well known names. Ah, well, you already had a hint with the virtual twelve inch.

PHYSICAL CD'S

At this moment I am also looking into the possibility of having Dubroom productions available on physical CD. As it seems at this moment, it is a very real possibility and pricing can be set very reasonable. Reasonable, as in well under ten dollars for 70 minutes of music, including a booklet and jewel case and everything. So, yes, this is most certainly something to consider.

WEBSITE IMPROVEMENTS

Next to the many hours I spend in the studio working on the music, I've done some thing to the Dubroom website as well. Yes, adding reviews and things. Also, adding features. New is the Forum Watch, it's like a shell around the Dubroom Message Boards. In layman's terms: it's a way of reading the latest postings per topic without having to leave the Dubroom website. 

I've also added Download/Player widgets to several pages at the Dubroom, most predominantly at the Dubroom's Home Page. It will give you the latest uploads to Reverb Nation, which you can play or download directly from the Dubroom's pages. I've also added widgets to a new feature at Radio Dubroom called "Radio Dubroom Extra". These are streaming-only chapters of Radio Dubroom featuring music that can not be put on the regular downloadable show for legal reasons. The shows can be streamed without leaving the Dubroom website.

Another improvement recently installed is the possibility for members of the Dubroom Message Boards to draw attention to visitors and readers of the Dubroom blogs. This is not a free pass for spam or something, it's a free pass to share good vibes by promoting (DUB) Reggae.

JAH WILLING

Some people think that they plan their things but the fact is that none of us can plan anything without the Creator allowing it to happen. We can plan to walk somewhere only to be killed in an accident. So, that is why I always say "JAH Willing". It's not a mere phrase, it is a statement of fact.

Jah Willing, later this year I will release a Showcase album. Full length lyrical tracks with their full-length Dub version. Discomixes, yes. The vocals will not be mine. At this moment I do not really want to talk too much about it, but everything will be revealed as time goes by. This will include information about the source of the material I work on for this album.
