The nice thing about a good Riddim is that many
vocalists will want to ride it. And when you mix
it right you can make your own seamless
"medley" out of each rendering:
"Steppin' Youth Mixes Dancehall Roots Volume
One" in a nutshell.
Before you can say the full title of the mix,
you are already into the next track in it. And the
nice thing is, that you are absolutely not
disturbed or annoyed in anyway. In fact, it
becomes a challenge to find out just when one
title flows into the next, because the Steppin'
Youth know exactly what they're doing.
The thing is, that this Podcast also contains
older pre-digital material, for example by Bob
Marl and Big Youth. Still, these tracks are
incorporated in the seamless mix as well which
reveals the high level of skill in the French
based Sound System.
