Sometimes, it's nice to hear some classics. Not,
because they were never played before. Quite the
contrary, I would say. But this very fact may
cause some of us to not really check these tracks
out as much as we should.
When was the last time you played Junior
Murvin's "Police and Thieves", for
example? Or Culture's "See Dem a Come"?
And what about the solid Rub a Dub on John Holt's
"Police in Helicopters"?
You get the point.
Yours truly had not checked them out for what
may very well be a number of years!
This is where the Doctor comes in. He knows
what we shouldn't forget and subsequently gives it
to us. Together with a number of lesser known
tracks, we hear the classics once again and feel
ashamed over what we sometimes forget.
