The balance is between the known and the unknown.
It is between various studio's. It is between
various styles. It is between various disciplines,
and even locations.
The bulk of the 25 tracks are Jamaican
productions, the rest can be counted on the
fingers of one hand and you don't even need them
all for that. We'll go to the UK for a nice Aswad
DUB mixed by the mighty JAH Shaka, we'll visit
Bullwackies: the first Reggae Studio to be built
in the USA.
Scientist leads the way with a mighty Michael
Prophet Dub. King Tubby is there, too, obviously,
because he is the godfather of DUB. Of course, the
selection presents a wide variety of styles and
engineers within the Disciple of Dub.
Horace Andy and Barrington Levy, Junior Murvin
and Naggo Morris. The singers are there, too. Just
like vocal groups such as The Congo's and The
Heptones. There could have been just a little bit
more DJ-ing, though...
