| Phillip
'Fatis' Burrell. From Vena to Xterminator. |
 |
Dance Crasher revisits the
late 80's once more with a selection of
tunes from producer Phillip
"Fatis" Burrell. Fatis is best
known for his late 90's Concious tunes when
he had the likes of Sizzla and Luciano
firmly in his camp. These tunes predate that
era and present some of the earlier
productions of Fatis on his Vena,
Exterminator (and later Xterminator) labels
from the later half of the 80's and early
90's.
As always...enjoy.

Just over 45 minutes of
Dancehall sounds from the early 80's. The
emphasis is on the DJ's but there are some
great singers here as well. All selections

| Sir
Collins And Friends |
 |
In the late 60's Clancy
Collins AKA Sir Collins Downbeat started
releasing Rocksteady tunes on his Collins
Downbeat label. From the start he had a
relationship with Bunny Lee who provided
mastertapes that were either released as
they were or overdubbed in the UK with
singers, DJs or instrumental solos.
You can hear this on three rhythms on this
mix. Music Field, Grab A Girl and You Don't
Care (I'm Shocking...). Delroy Wilson's Live
As One (on a Joe Gibbs original) and the
Marlene Webber tune both date from around
1971 shorlty before the next chapter of Sir
Collins musical career with the
establishment of his Sir Collins Music Wheel
label.
