3.0 First Test Mixes - Trial 2 (MP3) |
| The
deeper listening into the RV7000 Advanced
Reverb device in Reason 3.0 continues with
this second trial mix. Download an MP3 of
the DUB and a setting for the RV 7000.

Setting up the Reason Studio is a real challenge.
It can be done easily, but complex configurations
are possible too.  For
this second trial, a complete new set up was
created. Similar to the one for Trial Mix 1, but
different nevertheless. A complete new riddim was
constructed, too.
The RV7000 is still very, very interesting. With
some programming, it's quite possible to make some
interesting effects. And so it was done. It turned
out, that the final touch in the programming had
to be done during the mix. To get an nice splash
effect on the snare with the spring simulator,
just move the HI EQ knob from mid to hi eq while
the effect is running. Make sure you got the HF
Damp set to almost nothing. Download
the RV 7000 Spring Reverb Setting used for this
mix.
The result is a mix where the spring is used kind
of heavy. There's not much mastering, just some
heavy reverberating on a militant steppers drum. DOWNLOAD
